This is one of my favorites from the first few months. I decided to take the rest of the original Robot Masters and show all their menial tasks in one comic. But while I was thinking about the different menial tasks that I could have them performing, I realized that in this context, Bomb Man has no real purpose. I knew that in the actual backstory, Bomb Man was supposed to be a demolition bot, but what household function could a bomb-wielding robot possibly perform? But the reason this is one of my favorites is Bomb Man's throwaway line. Every time I read this comic, that song starts running through my head... and Bomb Man's pose doesn't help. I believe it was this comic where I started making the text boxes as I do now. If I recall, I realized that I needed a new type of text box to link the boxes from one panel to another, and the current style was born. |
