I believe Metal Man is unique in the Megaman game series for being the only Robot Master that is the most vulnerable to his own weapon. While this doesn't help you much in your first battle against him in the actual game, it does prove useful when you encounter him again in Dr. Wily's fortress.

But since, in the comic, Mega Man only fights the Robot Masters once, I had to come up with a way of making fun of Metal Man's weakness now, and this was my solution.

By the way, I should mention that the flying Metal Blade in the comic is supposed to be ricocheting off the first Metal Blade already stuck in the wall. It's worth mentioning because so many people seemed to think it was ricocheting off Mega Man's extremely hard head. While I do admit that would be funny too, it wasn't my intent.
