One cliche I particularly dislike in fiction is when bad things happen simply because people don't sit down and talk about what's going on. How many silly misunderstandings are the fuel behind contrived sitcom plots? I thought I'd lampshade the whole thing by having Kalinka actually sit Mega Man down and explain the whole thing to him, only to have him completely misunderstand.
