This is the comic in which the Author's trademark sound effect changed from "Poof!" to "Pfoof!" It seemed to me that if the Author was going to start using the Q-flare for his entrances, the sound effect should match, and "Pfoof" sounds closer to the effect they use in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Additionally, the Author's line in the last panel is from one of my favorite movies, The Quick and the Dead. The line belonged to Leonardo Dicaprio, which he utters right after he's just been shot by his father, played by Gene Hackman. I like that scene mainly because Leo dies... Oh, and Sam Raimi rocks.
