In a further parallel with his brother, Bob did the same thing after he destroyed Dr. Wily's fortress. And while, if you do the math, it would been just about the same time, Bob's Acapulco is in a different dimension. Anyway, in case it's not entirely clear, the idea here is that George is simply going to live in Acapulco until he reaches the time that he was orignally sent back in time by Dr. Light. It's a rather unorthodox method to returning to your own time, but without a time machine, he doesn't really have a choice. Besides, he can use the time, which works out to something like a year, to practice using his powers for the inevitable battle with the Helmeted Author.
