If you can't travel back in time to contradict yourself, what's the point? I imagine as soon as Far Future Alternate Mega Man and Bass realized that'd have to go back in time and tell themselves what they have to tell themselves, they realized they'd have to do it here and now, not just because they'd remember telling themselves what they need to tell themselves at this point in time, but because it would be funny to have Alternate Mega Man contradict himself like this.
