I'm not sure Bass is being entirely sincere when he says he "forgot"... You might wonder how Roll had enough time to repair herself enough to regain consciousness, but you have to remember that Mega Man's drinking contest with Dr. Light took several hours, which is probably more than enough time for her self-repairing mechanisms to do their job. I had a really hard time coming up with a punchline for this comic, so I ended up messing up Roll's hair so Mega Man could nonchalantly mention it to humorously indicate that he doesn't consider the already incredibly pissed-off Roll any sort of threat. I'm not sure it worked very well. On the other hand, it's entirely sensible that Roll's hair would get messed up after being shot and left for dead behind a random console. Oh god! There are probably spiders in her hair!
