Villain banter, plain and simple. One problem I think I've always had with the villains in my comic is motivation. I mean, here we have Mynd, who apparently rules an entire world or an entire dimension. Why the hell would he want to destroy and/or take over the Megaman Universe? Power seems too clichéd and boredom just sounds stupid. Then again, I suppose motivation is probably a problem for any writer and any character. Happy Independence Day to all of my American readers. I hope this day finds you enjoying friends and family and not the loss of fingers. I've doing some work on the site lately. You may have noticed some changes in the way commentary is displayed in the archives. A small change, but one I hope doesn't bother too many people. I still need to get some work done on the other comics on the site, as there's some work there that badly needs to be done. In other news, I think I'm going to be moving the site in the next few months. With the reader count falling, the bandwidth demands are also down, which means I should be able to move the site from its dedicated server, which is a good thing, since it'll mean the costs will go down. I'd also like to upgrade the forums to phpBB3 in the process, which should improve the forums without destroying the data. But I honestly wouldn't expect any of those changes until at least August. |
